I’ve always liked figuring out how things work. That’s what led me to engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder (that and a love for skiing), where I also picked up a minor in business. I graduated right into the recession. While working as an underemployed engineer, I became interested in how the economy works. I became fascinated with how everything was intertwined, obtained a Series 7 and 66 license, and had a stint as a financial advisor. During this time, I was hired to fly for the Air National Guard. I’ve had the opportunity to fly everything from a Cessna to an F-16, and today I fly the C-130 with the Nevada Air National Guard. Serving all over the country has given me a view most people in real estate never get: I’ve seen how big cities and small towns are changing up close, sometimes from a few thousand feet up. Watching economic growth in communities became fascinating, and I decided to make a pivot into real estate. I earned my MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Business; there I specialized in real estate and finance. I am also a principal on several multifamily deals with our syndication group Convolo Capital. With my nationwide exposure, I focus on netleased investment properties.

Reno is home base, and through the military, I had the opportunity of having Lake Tahoe in the backyard. When I’m not working or flying, you’ll usually find me skiing, outside somewhere, or spending time with my wife and our two kids.
